The mission of the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) is to promote the inherent rights, education, and well-being of all children world-wide. The University of Guam’s ACEI has had many accomplishments over the years. It will continue to renew its commitment to the ideals of the Association – ideals based upon a dream that all children will, someday, live and play in harmony and grow up having the care and education they need and deserve to fulfill their own dreams for the future.

Thanksgiving Donations to Alee Shelter

ACEI officers and members visited Alee Shelter on November 23, 2010 to present children and staff with many boxes of Thanksgiving donations. Alee Shelter protects abused or neglected children. The Thanksgiving donation is one of the many significant civic and community events the UOG-ACEI student organization supports annually.

ACEI Volunteers at Annual IRA Community Book Fair

ACEI volunteered to do face painting/book reading (shapes theme) at the anuual Guam IRA Community Book Fair held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Agana Shopping Center. It was a success filled with a meaningful literacy environment for families and friends. There were exciting performances and appearances, array of paperback and hardcover books, young adult literature, ACEI face painting/book reading, PreSchool GATE arts and crafts, software, novelties, Read-A-Thon 2011: Read to Succeed items, and prizes! ACEI to Hold 9-Pin Spectacular on December 11, 2010 at Central Lanes


The University of Guam School of Education student organization, Association for Childhood Education International (UOG-ACEI) will sponsor an island-wide 9-Pin Spectacular bowling event on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Central Lanes, Tamuning, Guam. $10 per ticket includes 2 games, ball, and shoe rental. UOG ACEI Induction Ceremony


UOG-ACEI Induction Ceremony: Senators Judi Won-Pat and Tina Muna Barnes conducted the 2010-2011 induction ceremony for the University of Guam Association for Childhood Education International (UOG-ACEI) for their new officers and advisors on September 22, 2010, at the School of Education . Many ACEI members, students, friends, and faculty members attended. Several community and civic organizations and agencies who partnership with UOG-ACEI were invited to attend and participate in the ceremony.
